Life On Planet Earth

by Travis Rymer

What is the meaning of life? Is there anything of which we can say we have lasting gain? What can we do about it?

The book of Ecclesiastes is a hard look at the ironies, frustrations, and disappointments of life. It wrestles with ultimate meaning in the face of this. But instead of despair, the Preacher leads us along a path where he exhorts us to joy in life. How? By living with the end in view - when life is over and we go to God.

It’s this perspective that prepares us to live. Or to put in the words of one author, “By living life backwards.”
