Sunday Morning, October 29th @ 10 AM – Marking the 500th Year Anniversary of the Reformation

October 31st will mark the 500th year anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. The event isn’t simply a monumental event for the church, but for the history of the western world. Hundreds of thousands of churches and the millions who make them up today have been influenced by this event. It’s an event, however, that was inspired by a move back to the Bible as the primary source for truth and unity. That’s what makes it still relevant for today. To protest against any authority is not something to be taken lightly, and the Protestant Reformation protested both the church and state. That makes the Reformation worth revisiting, not only out of a sense of knowing our own history but for what the Reformation might say to us as individuals.

We invite everyone, regardless of your spiritual positions or religious heritage, to help mark this day in the spirit of the Reformation by going back to the Bible and looking at some of the key texts that sparked the whole movement.

To help us take another look at those key texts we’ve invited Dr. James Hamilton to come speak to us this Sunday morning, October 29th. Dr. Hamilton serves as a professor of Biblical Theology at Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY. He holds a doctorate of Philosophy from Southern, a Masters of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arkansas. He’s the author of many books and scholarly articles including a biblical theology titled, “God’s Glory in Salvation Through Judgment.” He lives in Louisville, KY with his wife Jill and 5 kids.

Please come join us for this special occasion as we re-visit the texts and the people who inspired the Reformation.
