New Equipping Class – How to Read the Bible
When you open up a Bible to read, how do you feel? Excited? Overwhelmed? Intimidated? The Bible is a big book made up of lots of little books. Yet, it is one story and its meaning is clear. Jesus is at the center of the storyline of Scripture (Luke 24:44), and all we need to know about following Him is given to us in Scripture (2 Tim. 3:16-17). As our own confession of faith states, the Bible “is a perfect treasure of heavenly instruction.” Therefore, we want to take Scripture seriously. And we understand what that looks like by, first of all, understanding its authority in our lives. Our upcoming equipping class on how to read the Bible will focus on the basics of understanding the Bible and reading it well. Whether you are not a Christian, a new Christian, or have been following Christ for years, we hope this class encourages you to love God by taking His Word seriously.
